As a board certified Acupuncturist and Herbalist, Frank Griffo L.Ac. is in private practice in Berkeley, California and has recently opened a new office in Walnut Creek.
In addition to his private practice, Frank Griffo is a staff Practioner and Herbalist at the Elephant Pharmacy and an Assistant Instructor at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He has been a part of a research project at the California Pacific Medical Center working with stroke victims and physical rehabilitation and has also worked at the Maxine Hall Health Center in San Francisco providing treatments to an underserved community.
Frank Griffo holds a B.A. in Comparative Religion from UC Berkeley and received an M.S. in Tradional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Chinese Medicine in San Francisco. It was there that he studied Fertility with the renown Dr. Lifang Liang, Dermatology with Dr. JiaLing Yu, and studied the treatment of western diseases with Chinese Medicine with Dr. YuanJin Tao.
In addition to his schooling and professional experiences, Frank continues his lifelong study at the knee of several masters of the art. He has spent over five years with the famous Dr. Ou learning unique acupuncture techniques and methods.
For over a decade, Frank has studied Tai Ji Quan (Tai Chi) - an art that lends sensitivity and patience to his practice. His study of Tai Chi has been invaluable in his path toward medicine and wellness.
Before settling into Chinese Medicine, Frank worked with his hands as a fine woodworker, building custom cabinetry and furniture. Before woodworking, Frank pursued his love of cooking as a chef at a local Yacht Club.
